Geological Survey of AlabamaSince publication of Ichnology Newsletter no. 20, the death of Paul Brönnimann (1913-1993) has come to my attention. Paul Brönnimann was best known for his studies on foraminifers, but also published widely on fossil crustacean coprolites, naming many ichnotaxa. His friend and collaborator John Whittaker wrote a heartfelt memoir (1993) that has been posted on the Web.
In addition, several additional biographical pieces and a Festschrift for the late and much respected Martin F. Glaessner are noted here (Hill, 1972; McGowran, 1990, 1994; Cloud, 1991; Radhakrichna, 1991; Vogel, 1991).
