Trace Fossil Identification Guide

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The purpose of this identification guide is to help geologists and paleontologists (both professional and amatuers) with identifying strange and mysterious trace fossils that might have been found during field work, while searching through museum drawers, or talking with fossil collectors. The identification scheme will be based largely on Simpson's (1975) morphological descriptions of trace fossils but will include a few additions of my own to cover all (well, OK, most) traces of multicellular organismal activity preserved in the geologic record.
