Michael teaches courses and workshops on urban geography, cartography, geographic information systems (GIS), and remote sensing. He has a master's degree in geography with research interests that include urban geography, field methods and technology, geospatial information and cyberinfrastructure , cartography and data visualization, and emerging geospatial technologies in research libraries. Michael serves as Geospatial Librarian and Coordinator, Geospatial Services, Emory University Libraries.
